Windchime Jellyfish
A Windchime Jellyfish floating by a pagoda.--------------------------------------------------------------------
The Windchime Jellyfish species is a subspecies of sky jellyfish that is notorious for the noise it makes.
Behavior and Observations
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- It makes a faint jingling noise as it soars through the winds.
- Often thought to be a symbol of good luck and fortune, mostly due to the fact that they rarely appear in areas where people reside, but also because of its relation with spiritual practices.
- They have been observed to have an affinity for places where religious or spiritual practices are performed, such as temples, shrines, festivals, churches, et cetera. This is thought to be because it somehow feeds on faith or fortune (for the record, there is no evidence to back this up but there is also no evidence to contradict it, it's sort of like an urban legend).
- Their body appears to be made out of a very thin layer of some sort of extremely lightweight metal. The inside is mostly hollow, except for a small ball rolling and bouncing around the air pocket which produces the distinct shimmering sound.
Personal Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Very interesting critter. Seeing it gently float with the wind at the temple was oddly relaxing, very beautiful.
Not sure what else I can add, I'm not much of a spiritual person so I don't know if i'm the correct person to be talking about this creature in particular. I do wonder tho, how does it know where to go if it doesn't have a brain? Can it feel? How? It's only a metal ball rolling around a bigger metal ball. Is it even alive? Well clearly it has *some* level of sapience, because it's able to acurrately locate shrines and temples even in the darkest depths of the wonderlandian forest, but it just doesn't make much sense to me. Maybe it just functions on vibes? Gut feeling? Some sort of deity? Who knows! That's the magic of Wonderland.
