The Wonderland Archive

Who are you?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I am Alice :]. I am a photography major and (for now at least) currently working as a field researcher for the Wonderland Archive project with my friend Reina. Outside of that, here are a couple of things about me:

About the island

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The Wonderland Island was discovered by my parents, where they stayed studying and observing the wildlife within it. They thought it was interesting how so many of them seemed to be so different from common wildlife in other regions, hence the name "Wonderland" (creative, huh?).

Most people might be familiar with the Carrot Fly or the Bunny Slug species, but not a lot of people know they are native species to this island! Like that one there are many examples of cute, terrifying or simply weird creatures that live here. It is my dream to be able to share everything we gathered about this place beacuse I think there are so many amazing species and ecosystems that deserve to be appreciated, and possibly protected as many of the species here are endangered or have extremely limited populations.

As for specific details, the island is located in the ■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■■■ at ■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■* Note: i was informed that i am legally not allowed to state where the island is due to the contract i signed. sory :[ As far as I'm aware, there is only one town inhabited by people by the seashore, the rest is just pure nature.

It was discovered recently and caught the attention of many researchers. Ever since then, many have attempted to locate it and start their own independent research. As of right now, me and my friend Reina have been selected to explore and document the island and I decided to keep track of my findings through this blog! Reina is a professional scuba diver and a marine biologist, so she helps me mostly with all the aquatic animals/plants.

About my family

--------------------------------------------------------------------

As I said before, my parents were actually the people that discovered the island originally! After they found it, they immediately noticed the strange characteristics of the wildlife there. Since then, they decided to settle in to observe more closely.

I was born after they left the island, but we often went there every 2 years or so to spend the summer. It always had a lot of emotional value to me beacuse of all the precious memories I made there. I particularly recall how i would wait until sunset to see all the bioluminescent critters glow together at the seashore :] .

Now it's my turn to continue the investigation!!
