Striped Circus Lion
--------------------------------------------------------------------
A striped circus lion performing its artistic act.
The Striped Circus Lion is a reclusive variant of the now extinct Circus Lion.
Behavior and Observations
----------------------------------------------------------------
- Though they may be similar to the Spotted Circus Lion, they are not as safe or friendly as them. They don't pose an immediate danger to humans, but they are more solitary and less accustomed to human contact, and may react harshly if approached carelessly.
- They are extremely quiet animals. It is almost impossible to hear them moving or breathing.
- They have the strange ability to stand completely still. They are often confused with statues.
- They engage in "performances" among other striped circus lions. These performances consist of a group of them taking turns standing very still for a few minutes or moving their flippers as if pretending to be stuck inside an invisible box. It is unknown if this activity serves any other purpose other than enrichment or social interaction.
- Not too fond of Spotted Circus Lions. As those are very affectionate and often attempt to hug them, which they dislike heavily.
Personal Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I've heard a couple of people call them Artist Lions. Both names totally fit, honestly. They are not as friendly as spotted lions, but they were still nice enough to let me stay to watch their little show. They have some pretty advanced artistic sensibilities, very avant-garde experience.
