Alice Daisy
--------------------------------------------------------------------
An Alice Daisy looming over an apple mime that succumbed to its hallucinogenic effects.
The Alice Daisy is a plant that grows beneath the ground, the only visible part being its strange flower.
Behavior and Observations
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- Though it may look like a singular flower, it is actually a massive network of obsidian-black roots that can be as big as 2km.
- These flowers grow very sparingly through the root labyrinth below. It prefers dark places.
- The hair-like tendrils surrounding the core of the flower is similar to cotton, but it is coated in toxins that are capable of inhibiting the senses and producing strong hallucinations.
- It lures creatures with a sweet scent. Once they get close enough, the prey will brush by the cotton hair and become totally inhibited.
- The toxin in small quantities is not strong enough to be lethal to humans, but it can kill small creatures.
- Once the creature is completely overtaken by the toxin, it will slowly be drained of its lifeforce and be absorbed by the roots below, feeding the plant in the process.
- It is often used by people in a diluted form for recreational purposes, however it is not recommended to do so as it can very easily be fatal or cause permanent neurological consequences.
Personal Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not often that I feel creeped out by a plant of all things, but I really really dont like it. It's just so unnatural. It almost feels malicious, like it has a will of its own. Definitely not the kind of flower I would like to share a name with, it even kinda looks like me... Spooky!
Rein absolutely HATES these things, and to be honest who can blame her.
